About Diana Chang

Background

Born in Hong Kong and raised in Vancouver, Diana Chang has been involved in the education space for over fifteen years.

 

She first represented Queen’s University as an international admissions coordinator and later served as director of admissions at a start-up boarding school.

 

On behalf of Shawnigan Lake School, she was the School’s first off-shore consultant, supporting advancement, alumni, and admissions initiatives in the Asia-Pacific, based out of Hong Kong.

Professional Experience

Diana was recently an associate director of business development at ApplyBoard, the world’s largest international recruitment platform. There, she worked closely with secondary and post-secondary institutions across Canada to leverage AI and data to inform recruitment strategies. Now, Diana spends her energies and focus at Minerva, a BC based charity advancing leadership and economic independence, for women and girls. 

As a certified Academic Life Coach through Coach Training EDU with over 1000 coaching hours, Diana works with Grades 8-12 students to develop time management skills, healthy habits, and planning their post-secondary pathways.

Community Initiatives

Diana’s currently a board member and chair of fundraising for Squash BC and the president of the Queen’s University Alumni Vancouver Branch.

 

She also consults with SinoSports, a Canadian run organization based in Toronto, to bring more student-athletes from China to pursue education opportunities in North America, an advisor at SOS ThreeSixty, a Vancouver based abuse prevention training platform for educators and coaches, alongside law enforcement officials (FBI, Interpol, VPD) and leaders, an advisory member at Women Leaders of Tomorrow, an organization supporting education access for girls in Afghanistan, and a champion to Ching Tien Foundation for Women, supporting special projects and chairing their 2025 leadership forum.
